scar treatment products?

What can you recommend? I'm having thyroid surgery next week and of course the scar will be in a quite noticeable place. There are about a million products around that all promise to prevent/reduce scars, so pretty impossible to choose. Anything that you have used for your scars (any, does not have to be thyroidectomy) that has really worked? I probably need different ones for prevention and then treatment, right?

You need heal gel or silicon patches.

A family member had a thyroidectomy and she did nothing at all and its not noticeable at all now, they cut on the natural crease of your neck.

The infected/inflamed mollescum is the red blob to the left of her ear in this photo, where it looks flat and is slightly spread out (the others are chicken pox scabs).

I had scar after getting delivery.Then i used dermalmd scar serum everyday.we need clean throughly and then apply it.little goes long way.I recommend it without any hesitation.
