Anyone tried Evans jeans designed for Pears?

I do rather like my BHS dream jeans....but seen these and thought I would order 2 pairs after ripping a hole in one of my current jeans.

They say that most people can drop a size. The 3 reviews say they have dropped a size. I could do with ordering online......what size do I order. As I am ordering 2 pairs ordering both would mean ordering 4 pairs...

Any general reviews?

Definitely drop a size. I bought my usual size as an experiment last week and they are like clown trousers, absolutely no way I could wear them. Will be sending them back tomorrow. They are VERY generous around the hips and the crotch was extremely low!

Great. Have lost quite a bit of weight anyway, so my current jeans getting looser but not loose enough for a normal size drop.

Maybe drop 2 sizes then. These things were HUGE!

I think you need to try them on. I am currently slumped her in a pair of Evans size 16 jeans. There is not a cat in hell's chance that I am a size 16 - I am usually a 20 in "normal" shops (sometimes larger). I think this is "vanity sizing."

I sometimes go the opposite in Evans, as I am chubby of thigh and find that I'm normally an 18/20 in South jeans yet in Evans the 24 still won't go over my thigh's. There isn't a convenient local store so have to go miles out of my way to try them on. Are the pear jeans more generous in the thigh?

HauntedLittleLunatic · 29/04/2012 22:14

The pear jeans are supposed to be more generous in the hip and thigh but narrow waist...

Went and tried some on yesterday and the 24 was still snug on the thigh, yet the 26 was too baggy about the groin it was all poofy and was still a little snug on the thigh.

Well, I could have got my twin in the size 16, 14 still too big and they don't do a 12.

Incidently their 'regular' 16 would have been the right size from there, so I would have needed to drop 2 sizes not 1. I got the dream jeans from Bhs which I am used to.

Nice idea and not a bad shape, sizing just needs to improve a bit more.

I've not had a good experience with these.
Ordered them online this week. Was sooo excited to see them because I have a huge problem with finding jeans that fit. Small waist humungous bum and thighs, typical pear.
Anyway I'm a size 20 in every other brand. Ordered a 20 and, optimistically, an 18. Both far too big everywhere. Crotch came down to my knees. Ordered a 14 and a 16 which were delivered this morning. The 14 fits on the thighs and bum but is still too big on the waist and the crotch again is too low.
I'm so disappointed, as the jeans are a nice fabric and design, tried the bootcut and the straight. The sizing is ridiculous. It's a shame because it's a good idea, but just judging from the comments here, Evans won't be able to sell many and will then deicde there's ''no demand" for them and discontinue....
