Mine is the big purple sapphire in my engagement ring. It's very unusual and always gets commented on plus it was a lot cheaper than a 3 carat diamond

amber it sounds absolutely exquisite x

Emerald. love love love them. But only good quality ones.

Aquamarine. Don't know why but have always adored it.

Blue sapphire and Yellow sapphire.

Emeralds.

And the humble amethyst can be stunning if it's the right shade. My DS2 found a bit of pure amethyst in a lake in France last year. True story. About the size of the top joint of a thumb.

I love Labradorite. It's dark blue opaque with little gold flecks through it. Looks fab irl but is difficult to photograph.

I also like fire opals, deep deep blue sapphires, ammolite and tigers eye.... to name but a few!

I like opals too. I want a black one (dreaming) :)

Tanzanite for me too I have two beautiful tanzanite stones in my engagement ring my DH designed for me

Aquamarine. It's the colour of the mediterranean sea & the Indian Ocean, the shade a sky should be, it's full of hope & light.

Garnets - love the deep colour.

Me no like diamonds they are boring, I like ruby, emeralds, jade and watermelon tourmaline.

Peridot now after a long love affair with dark blue sapphires.
