Best hand cream for very dry cracked hands

Due to this lovely weather and the vast amounts of washing & cleaning in doing in preparation for DC2 (any time now!) I have very dry sore hands.
It's mainly on the back of my hands & fingers not the palms.
What's the best remedy?

Boots or Superdrug - generally with the plasters etc. Only cost about £1 I think.

You can get fancy ones, but I find the Boots/Superdrug ones fine. I have several pairs and wash used ones evey couple of days with whatever washing is on at the time.
