Has anybody ever found jeans that don't stretch and fall down??

It's so feckin annoying . I'm a size 10-12...ds 9 months and piled on 5 stone .. Eek , so I'm working my way back to size 8-10.... All the jeans I buy fit fine in the shop but then fall down. The only ones that stay up are size 10 Primark but they are really tight . !!

Do you wear a belt? I have this problem and it really helps. Accessorise always have nice skinny leather ones in a food range of colours

DialsMavis · 28/04/2012 16:20

*good range of colours

bishboschone · 28/04/2012 16:34

No because I feel like a sack of spuds tied in the middle , maybe I should try it.

It's a modern disease, I don't know if the elastane has changed or they are using stretchy cotton, but all jeans bought in the last two years fall downAngry

DialsMavis · 28/04/2012 16:47

Sack of spuds is the lesser of 2 evils for me, when compared with showing my entire arse at the world every time I bend forward Grin.I am dieting too and whichever size I wear, big or small my tummy just bursts out of the top as soon as I leave the house, most irritating

bishboschone · 28/04/2012 17:25

Yes I know .. I'm in the hoiking camp which my dh thinks is very funny . I'm hourglass and smaller on top so wear fitted tops . The belt just makes everything a bit lumpier .

The only ones that don't do it for me are Levis.

bishboschone · 28/04/2012 18:18

The curve ones?

OP posts:
Pascha · 28/04/2012 19:08

Yes. I've got 3 pairs of Demi curve in varying leg styles and they all last the day. Unlike the crappy red herring ones which I need a belt with.

bigpants103 · 28/04/2012 19:10

M&S 5 pocket jeggings. High waisted. Look like normal skinnies and only £22.50. Lots of colours too.

DialsMavis · 28/04/2012 19:15

I am very interested in the Levi curve I.ds, but I am too tight to spend that much until I am the size I want to be. The m& s ones sound good as an interim pair though. Love the vanity sizing in m&s too.

bishboschone · 28/04/2012 19:28

I've seen Levi curve in tk Maxx and in the next sale

im wearing wallis slim fit ones today for the first time, and they have stayed up fine. Agree that red herring ones are TERRIBLE!!!!

ElizaDoMore · 28/04/2012 22:41

Topshop Martha - v. good! Got mine on eBay.

BettyBathroom · 28/04/2012 23:07

I have the same ones as bigpants 5 pocket jeggings from M&S they are bloody brilliant - normally have to spend more than £70 on jeans to fit - M&S Jeggings fit like a dream!

daenerysstormborn · 28/04/2012 23:40

asda's great bum ones. they are cut to sit higher on the waist, mine stay up even without a belt and they don't stretch. they also flatten your stomach.

PigletUnrepentant · 28/04/2012 23:43

Check the fabric: the higher percentage of cotton, the higher the chances they won't stretch and fall.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 29/04/2012 01:05

Got distracted by the mention of cheap levi curves which I love.

And after an hour I have realised that they have launched some high waisted skinnies. Even better methinks.

Look at these.

Diesel jeans stay up and don't stretch too much - the pairs I have seem to be made of thicker material than my other jeans. They're not necessarily as soft as, but they do stay up perfectly and hold their shape! Unlike the others I own.

bishboschone · 29/04/2012 08:20

Oh I have loads of diesel jeans but I can't get into the feckers Smile... I'm working on it though .

I bought the M&S ones today because of this thread and they are great - magically reduce my saddlebags too! The only thing is they're pretty tight round the calves/ankles (and mine are quite slim). Does anyone know if other M&S jeans fit this well that aren't skinny?

bishboschone · 29/04/2012 18:20

Are they flattering on the bum ?

OP posts:
DialsMavis · 29/04/2012 18:23

Only the old Mathas are any good. I got the new ones recently and they are like clowns trousers by lunchtime, & I sized down, which is unheard of for me in Topshop

bishboschone · 29/04/2012 20:00

It's such a pain . I may go and try the marks ones.
