have you got a MILLY?? (Peony & Moore) - please share

I've been in the market for a new handbag for a while now & I'm thinking of buying a Milly in the flash sale which ends tonight.

But I'm a little worried about the flap over the bag. Is it a phaff when you are putting your wallet etc back into the bag? I've always had bags with a zip, and the one bag I have with a flap drives me a little crazy (though it isn't well designed at all).

Do you love your Milly?
Does the top flap design work?

I have a Milly in tan and love it. Its not too heavy and very roomy. The flap works well and I can't say that I've found it a ffaff.

The only thing I'm not happy with is I bought it when it first came out, at £260!!!! It's a bargain at the current price.

Nnnnnoooo, what about the Gilly, Milly's little sister? I've been pondering that one as although I love the Milly, sometimes I just want to carry something a little more compact.

Have you given P and M a ring to see if it might be possible to pre-order at reduced price?

I prefer the Gilly colours tbh... did you esp want a black bag?

The only thing I have against the Gilly - and Milly -is that I'm addicted to a zipped outside pocket for my Oyster card and they don't have them (though Mariella and Georgia have 2 such pockets).

I have a Milly and love it. The flap over the bag is really not a problem and I actually feel much more secure travelling on the tube with it. The only thing is what sort of size you want - I carry a small laptop in my Milly so if you want something a bit more compact then it might be worth going for the Gilly. I'm quite tempted by the red version.
