Hair Serum & Heat Protection Spray - whats the best?

So i'm running out of both hair serum & heat protection spray. I usually use Boot's own brand, but admittedly, lately i've not been too impressed by it, unless of course my hair is just that dry!

Any recommendations? obviously cheaper the better, but looking for wow factors! I have also tried that lee stafford argan oil stuff and to be honest its ok but not that brill, certainly not for the price tag!

Gliss. Cheap and cheerful. I like to finish with the Shine Spray.

I have tried the Argan oil, but not impressed with it... maybe I got the wrong one.

Stupidly expensive I know, but Kerastase Elixir Ultime. It comes in a honeycomb patterned box I think, and is the only pre-heat product that has ever actually helped my hair and eliminated dryness & frizz. I also use their 'ciment thermique' before getting out the ghd's.
Elixir is best though, hair is like spun silk and super soft. I'm naturally curly and frizzy, and even when I never heat styled my hair it still looked fuzzed and damaged (thanks nature!). This really eliminates a multitude of sins, and last forever, so cost per wear kind of works out ok in this respect.

A bit cheaper: I've also had a bit of luck with Kiehl's straightening cream, which again has the silky effect, and worth a try!

Tresemme products (sp?) are cheap but dowonders for my dry hair, they have a really nice shine spray which has some argan oil in it I think. Asda have very good offers on their haircare quite regularly, 3 items for £10 etc, considering one John Frieda product is normally around £7, its pretty good and handy for trying new stuff out.

Merlin, I remember using Gliss serum a 4 or 5 years back, it was the best and only about £1.99, but they stopped it. By Shwarzkopf (sp) isn't it? I use to be able to get it from Wilkinsons and from my local chemist. Did Shwarzkopf replaced it with something else then? Thanks for the replies!

I get these products at my local superdrug. I got some a few weeks ago when it was BOGOF.

I have used these products for years and each time I get tempted to buy something more £ at the hairdressers I end up regretting it. Even on the days when I don't wash my hair I spray a bit of the shine spray on my lengths. Love it.
