I love a cashmere find. I got a Pure Cashmere peacock bolero type Cardigan for £4.50.

Tis a thing of beauty. Looks unworn. Sigh.

googietheegg · 23/04/2012 15:48

Black leather DKNY handbag for £4.50. I held my breath until I'd paid and got out of the shop in case they'd made a mistake.

warmandwooly · 23/04/2012 17:20

What's with all these upmarked charity shop buys? The ones in my area are only good for Primark and such.

Vv jealous. Well done on all your bargains!

There's a lot of Primark stuff in our charity shops, only the people who price it up obviously don't know that 'Atmosphere' is a Primark brand so the second had stuff costs more than getting it new.

warmandwooly · 23/04/2012 18:40

Isimma- my friend was delighted to buy a Per Una cardy in a charity shop.

Want- yy to the whole Atmosphere thing. Happens here too!

BackforGood · 23/04/2012 18:48

lololizzy · 23/04/2012 19:02

Me - a fantastic Coast dress today, looks like unworn, £5

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 23/04/2012 19:34

Ooooh on Friday I got a pair of True Religion jeans tags on my size for £4.00 and dd got Next Jeans for 50 pence and DS gap cargo shorts for £1.50

Posey · 23/04/2012 20:20

I love a charity shop good buy. I think my best ever was a genuine Radley bag for about £5. Even better was a small John Lewis bag I discovered in one of the many zip pockets when i looked at it better at home containing a brand new Chanel lipstick Grin

Wow that is a great bargain!!

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 23/04/2012 20:26

ooooh my best bag find was a Jaegar Morgan for a tenner

Somethinginthewoodshed · 23/04/2012 20:30

See our charity shops are too wise. They know their labels and price accordingly bastards

AberdeenAgnes · 23/04/2012 20:32

I am still wondering who bought my black Hobbs skirt (brand new with tag) which the charity shop listed at £3.50

Posey · 23/04/2012 20:39

Most of the charity shops near us charge an awful lot. Too much in my opinion, especially if it is just a basic t shirt from H&M or similar...you shouldn't be charged £3 for a 2nd hand, worn Tshirt.
But we have a fab shop which prices realistically, has a designer or "top" brands rack, where they charge a bit more but still not silly money.

Today I bought a Topshop red oversized pussy-bow blouse for £4.50 from my fave British Heart Foundation shop - it's the sort of "fashion" item I wouldn't want to spend mega-bucks on, but at charity shop prices, worth a go. I shall wear it loose over skinnies and ankle boots.

I am currently wearing a pair of grey New Look trousers I bought from there about 4 years ago for a similar price. They are my staple work trousers and I have worn them to death - I would say at least once a week. Cost per wear must be fractions of a penny!

I love love love charity shops.

Bienchen · 24/04/2012 17:48

My most recent best find was a pair of Stylo riding boots for £9. They had a small mark which rubbed off the rubber material and I wear them instead of wellies. They come to work with me and after a quick scrub under the tap are as good as new.

margaritaaPracatan · 24/04/2012 17:53

I bought some fab Gap Long & Lean jeans for £6.50, bargainous! The shops near my parents are ace - I bought a wonderful Hobbs cardigan last year for £4.50 too.

charlottesmum5 · 24/04/2012 18:29

Today I bought a beautiful Austin Reed dark grey suit, lined in fuchsia, for £4.50!

Mombojombo · 24/04/2012 19:17

Today I landed an M&S Autograph batwingy, slouchy, bretony top for £1.99. Best ever find was a mahusive black floor-length cardigan coat thing from Joseph. Cost me £3 from very un-savvy local Oxfam. I've worn it to death every winter, it's magical.

ooer · 24/04/2012 19:44

Last week in my local Oxfam, I bought a Rohan summer dress for £7.99.
