Yes , I did mine this morning. I'm very fair and it helps define my face. I use eyelure (brown) which you can buy on Amazon cheaply. It's pretty much full proof and has saved me a fortune! I read about it on here along with loads of other hints and tips Grin

Absolutely, easy peasy. Eyelure, as recommended above. I have v fair lashes and have been doing it for years. When I remember! You really can't go wrong. Tbh, I can't see why anyone would pay a salon.

Yes, it was on mix and match 3 for 2 at Boots a couple of weeks ago. Make sure you get brown not black, unless you have very dark hair.

I do mine all the time, it's very easy. I have them waxed at a salon though as I get a better shape from there that if I pluck them.

I used to buy the dye and developer from Sally's but they suddenly wouldn't sell it anymore unless you are in the trade. Don't know why they change the rulesConfused. I just buy it all from Amazon now, which turned out to be cheaper.

If you haven't done it before keep checking and reapplying the dye until you're happy with the colour. It 'takes' quite quickly and it's best to do it in little steps to get the colour you like.

lovesineffable · 21/04/2012 12:27

yes of course I do it all the time with ordinary hair dye

If anyone is doing their lashes - use the navy blue dye. It comes out blacker than the black

(tip from beautician years ago)

I use Eyelure Colorsport 30 day once a month on my eyelashes and eyebrows and have done for about 20 years. I would start on brown and do a test patch first. I used blue/black for the first time last week and I am very impressed. Essential before holidays imho.

Catinboots - any tips in how to do your lashes? I find it stings like buggery but I would like to try the blue/black for summer. Sorry for the slight hijack Smile

Use a cotton bud to put Vaseline on your lids right up to the base of the lashes.

Lie down and don't open your eyes!!!!

kaumana · 21/04/2012 12:59

Ah, keep eyes closed! Do you do one eye at a time? Confused

Eggrules · 21/04/2012 12:59

I do it like I'm applying mascara with the brush that comes with the kit and it never stings. I have been doing this for a really long time though. I think the key to using an at home kit it to wipe off any mistakes immediately.

Thanks, I'm going to give it a shot.
