Denim skirts: naff or not?

I saw a knee-length blue denim skirt on sale today, and thought it might be a good buy, to wear with black knee boots now and possibly with sandals in summer.

Suspect that denim skirts may be slightly naff though. ( or is that just denim minis) Convince me otherwise? I am clueless on style.

Oh, and can I wear ballet pumps with it, or are those just for A line skirts? You can see I am groping in the dark here!

Well I like Denim skirts but not mini's. Not sure if they are naff I think it depends on the shape and colour.

I was wondering the same thing today! Loads of women around here are wearing denim skirts with boots - but this is rural country and so I don't know whether this is acceptable?

i have a denim skirt! it's fab... goes with mostly anything....

I have a very nice, long denim skirt that makes my bum look minuscule. Don't think it's naff at all.

Oh yes, it is a straight darkish denim skirt. You know, I don't like black boots with denim either. Now have an excuse to go out and buy brown boots.

I haven't got one myself (I stick to trousers until about June!), but I like the look of them as long as they aren't too frayed, and aren't worn with a denim jacket over the top (does look a bit cheap, that head-to-toe denim look).

my bum is small, my legs are long. before you all lynch me, i should add that I have huge muffin top, which I conceal with long tops.

How Mad! What can be naff about denim skirts as a single item of clothing when there are as many denim skirts as there are blue skirts, or cotton skirts, or (run out of generic skirts now but you know what I mean). I have about three denim skirts and they are all so completely different, love them all. And a basic denim skirt depends huge;y on what you wear it with I reckon.

I've got a long, straight, dark denim skirt with a split up the back that I've been wearing with boots adn jumpers or shirts.

My friend had on a mini denim skirt with tights adn knee boots adn a t-shirt the other day - sounds naff but she looked really nice in it.
