I would love some suggestions for my hair. It is currently long and v boring. It has a slight wave and I do straighten it. I would like to go shorter but still be ble tomtie it back if need be as I am going on holiday next week.

Go to the appointment a bit early and flick through the hair magazines for inspiration?

Get a fringe and a few flicky layers, like this? If you have a natural wave it would be v easy to maintain.

It would work longer too, if you didn't want to go that short.

I like that emrys. Looks like the upkeep would be fine too

Come back later and tell me if you went for it or not! It's pretty much the exact hairstyle I have at the moment, although mine's a few inches below my shoulders. Fringe is surprisingly easy to deal with, even though my hair is very wavy - I just blast it from side to side with the hair dryer and it's done. Don't try straighteners on fringe or drying using a brush as it just ends up too weird and flat.

Also - if you do go for fringe, make sure hairdresser takes hair from far enough back on your head (iyswim) so that fringe is full and not too bitty or thin and straggly.
