just watched it on iplayer and fell in love a little bit with presenter Michael Mosley

anyway was thinking of geting an exercise bike to do the intense 3mins a wek thing
think i could cope with that and it's meant to hepl prevent diabetes which I am prone to

so have you started and how's it going?

I watched that the other day too. Thought it was fascinating.

I haven't done the intense exercise business but have tried to increase my movement every day, a la the chap who conducted all the interviews standing up.

Watching with interest!

yes I got up and washed the floor after watching it

Ggirl, no I didn't watch it but Michael Mosely is one of my secret nerd crushes so off to iplayer I go.

DH did high intensity on an exercise bike, injured his knee, and has been out of action for several weeks. So ... beware injury.

kaumana · 18/04/2012 21:59

I did see it. As I have a bike I thought I'd give it a go rather than using it as a holder for my handbags. Have to say I'm quite impressed with the results!

ggirltwin2pinot · 18/04/2012 22:12

kaumana ooh really, results as in ???

thefarside- that'll be me probably

I watched it with fil, now whenever either of us sits down, the other jokes about the "killer chair" :) It was an interesting programme though.

kaumana · 18/04/2012 22:33

ggirltwin2pinot- well, instead of looking at handbag holding bike and feeling "ugh, should really get on it while watching Desperate Housewives". I have done the full on cycling as shown in the programme. It has seemed to have jumped started my metabolic rate!

kaumana · 18/04/2012 22:38

Oh and have been charity collecting for the past couple of weeks at the weekend for acouple of hours at a time, standing still.

ggirltwin2pinot · 18/04/2012 22:54

ooh you've spurred me on now
am watching a couple of exercise bikes on ebay

Have a look on Gumtree too, that's where I got my £750 bike for £30, I guess she needed to upgrade her handbag space!

ggirl · 18/04/2012 23:08

blimey ..bargain!
off to have a look
