No-one really wants to know this, but I LIKE my bb cream!

I've just got Skin79 bb cream (the hot pink one) and although I'm more aware of it on my face than the powder that I normally use (Lily Lolo), I really like it. I look a bit dry and haggard with powder, but I actually look pretty dewy with the bb cream. And I have a very light skin tone, and look fine. I couldn't find that many positive reviews on here about bb creams, so thought I would say that I find it pretty good. I haven't used it for a prolonged period, so may break out after a while, but it has covered my hideously red nose and old acne scars well. Hurray!

have revived this zombie thread as want to know if anyone else has good BB cream recommendations?

JennySense · 23/03/2013 13:38

I just ordered a tester set from Amazon to try find out what all the fuss is about.

KatieScarlett2833 · 23/03/2013 13:40

I use goggles one. I love it Smile

Sunshinewithshowers · 23/03/2013 13:44

Is it a foundation?

Or do you wear it underneath? My poor nose is always bright red & It looks awful.

Does BB stand for beauty balm? If so is it just a moisturiser?

Im very confused, but saw the Garnier one for £7.49.

Help Me !!

KatieScarlett2833 · 23/03/2013 13:55

It is primer, moisturiser and foundation in a cylinder of fabulousness Wink

NonnaMai · 23/03/2013 13:56

I was recently given a tube of the L'oreal BB cream. It's not something I would have bought myself but I'm hooked. It makes my skin look all fresh a dewy and very natural.

Arisbottle · 23/03/2013 13:56

I have a Dior B&B cream which is excellent. The pinky one.

I like the No7 BB cream and have been using it for a while. Although yesterday I got the YSL touche eclat foundation and it does make me look a lot 'better'. Havent really ever worn 'proper' foundation before but am starting to think I need it! Would definitely recommend the No7 BB one though and I will prob still use it pretty often especially in the summer when I have a bit of colour and look less crap!

ivanapoo · 23/03/2013 16:12

I have the Estee Lauder bb cream and I love it. It smells of cucumbers...

No7 and Garnier are also OK and about a fifth of the price of the EL one, I didn't get on with the L'Oreal one.

Hassled · 23/03/2013 16:14

I use the Garnier one and really like it - I still need the coverage of foundation, but the BB stuff just sort of evens out the skin tone a bit and then I need less foundation.

EMUZ · 23/03/2013 17:17

I like the missha one - no 13 is the palest and works on my slightly blue tinged skin Grin

HolofernesesHead · 23/03/2013 17:25

I use the Garnier one and it is fab, although if I use too much I look weird. (Same could be said for many products, I'm sure!)

trixymalixy · 23/03/2013 18:11

I like the Garnier one. I have some skin79 testers and didint like it.

trixymalixy · 23/03/2013 18:12

*didn't

VBisme · 23/03/2013 18:15

I find foundation is too much for me now (especially the oil free ones), and bb creams work much better.

My mum introduced me to them, she's in the 60s and swears by it.

herbaceous · 23/03/2013 18:18

I love the garnier one, in 'fair'. I realise this is tantamount to mn heresy, but .

BOEUF · 23/03/2013 18:24

I've got a maybelline one. It's just tinted moisturiser, as far as I can tell, but it's nicer than foundation.

belfastbigmillie · 23/03/2013 18:29

Is it only for people with good skin? I have sallow skin, an old scar, dark eye circles and acne. I currently use Estee Lauder doublewear which is amazing but it looks very thick.

kiwigirl42 · 23/03/2013 18:35

I've just ordered a sample of
Sell one like this SKIN79 Hot Pink Super Balm Plus Triple Functions BB Cream SPF25 off ebay for £2.15 free shipping, 5 ml sample tube. It seems to have the best reviews for BB creams. Its from Sth Korea but I've bought lots of stuff from China/ HK/ Thailand and it always arrives eventually.

AmazingDisgrace · 23/03/2013 18:40

I use the Skin79 one in the gold packaging..it's lovely, good coverage not in the least orangey on my v pale skin and can be used underneath my mineral foundation when I want more coverage

ellesabe · 23/03/2013 19:04

I just bought the Olay 7-in-1 bb cream with a touch of foundation. I have never used any sort of foundation or powder but my skin is just starting to look a bit tired so thought I'd give this a try.

I like it so far.

PavingAnotherRoad · 23/03/2013 20:12

I recently came across a (very generous size!) tester of the Jane Iredale Full Cover BB cream tucked away in a drawer and have been using it this week.

I have been searching for a new foundation for a looong time - i've bought several over the last year or so, but they just haven't felt 'right' - the colour is never quite a match (im very pale and have a strange skin tone!),or its too dry, or too light coverage, or too cakey etc etc.

To be honest I had been avoiding trying BB creams as I like a pretty full coverage foundation, and thought they seemed a bit 'weak' for me, but this one is a great colour match, and perfect coverage for me...

Now I just have to locate a matching concealer...........!

JumpHerWho · 23/03/2013 20:28

Aren't they just the new 'tinted moisturiser' - ie foundation for people who are a bit scared of actual foundation?

ellesabe · 23/03/2013 20:53

Think they also have SPF and anti-ageing things in them...
