Brazilian Blowdry in London - Any experiences?

Hi,

I am fed up with my GHD's and my blow drier and I want to try the Brazilian Blowdry for the first time this weekend. Does anybody of you have any experiences with it in a London hairsalon? Where did you get it done and how much did you pay?

Hee hee, is that to make your pubes more curly? crawls back into the depths of rural Wales where we have no mod cons

Yes, it cost £200 and lasted about 2 months

I now buy a box of Amazon and get dh to do it for me. Its only 10% of the cost at about £20 a kit and us amazing, get loads of compliments

I don't have a husband to help me. I might ask a friend. Sounds great, because I got quoted anything from £55 to £150.

£55 is pretty good! Which part of country you in?

Either way the kit off amazon is brilliant and the cheapest, my hair is a nightmare without it, but it takes me 3 minutes to style now.

It will be hard to do the back of hair alone, so if you can get a helper then go for it!

The salon is in Ealing, £55 is an offer with Groupon.

Thats really good, i might be tempted to go for it at that price. Its worth it!

I had mine done by my hairdresser in muswell hill. He charged according to the amount he used, I think it was about 120 quid. Completely brilliant, I didn't have to do anything to my hair for months and months. That was a year ago and my hair is still much better than pre-brazillian. But I know lots of people who've been really disappointed. The good stuff is very expensive so anyone offering it cheaply maybe is using a less powerful product.

disclaimer: only my own experience!

be aware groupon are notorious for scams
check it's not brazilian style treatment or some such imitation

Hi,
I just had the treatment done from a mobile hairdresser and my hair looks amazing. I paid £90 for the treatment and another £15 for the travel. (i live in Surrey and she is from North London). She also cut my hair for free.

I pay about 200 quid for my below shoulder length hair in Central London. That includes the treatment itself and a wash and blowdry to wash it out and give it another straighten about 4 days later (this is supposed to make it last). It lasts about 5 months and I love it. I've had it done 3 times now.

I've tried Haus of Hair in Vauxhall (www.hausofhair.co.uk) because they did a Express Brazilian that only lasted 6 weeks and didnt damage my hair but it was nice frizz free and I didnt have to straighten it every morning. Average priced aswell at £66.
