Cath Kidston type of bag

I have finally moved away from the changing bag after 4.5 years and 2 dd's. Whoop whoop! I have a beautiful Mulberry bayswater which I have been using everyday but I'd like to keep it for weekends other wise it'll get trashed.
I wanted a bag that was a bit of fun for everyday and thought about the Cath Kidston Day Bag but a) are they too ubiquitous and b) nearly £50 for a bit of plastic table cloth with handles !!!!

Any other ideas? Under £50.

Have you looked at the Boden oilcloth bags? I bought a satchel from them last year and was delighted to find I could squash in 2 beach towels, clean underwear for me and DS, a trashy novel and a mountain of sun lotion! I still looks pretty good a year (and a lot of hard work) later. Mind you, they are also nearly £50 for a different type of table cloth and handles!

Quite a lot of street markets do Kidston rip-offs which are really rather nice! I got a satchelly-type blue & white polka-dot one from TKMaxx last year made of the same tableclothy material. I sound like I'm on commission from TK on this forum...

also Orla kiely make some lovely oilcloth type bags, no idea of price though. Can't wait to leave my changing bags behind!

Mombo- I keep recommending TK Maxx too and was just going to post that I saw some satchel type bags like CK bags

If you want cute patterns and oilcloth have a look at paperchase. They do some really cute ones.

I second Mombo and woolly, I've been in 3 different TK Maxxs in my area this week, each have had the satchels! They must have a lot in. I kept doing double takes thinking they were Cath Kidston and only £24.99 each. V purse friendly!

here's lots

They're great. Doesn't have to be oilcloth or floral, just a bit fun.

I can't do links but please look at Eleanors Attics bags. They are lovely handmade bags.
