I have heard really good reports, but not tried out myself yet. Bought some face mask in john lewis the other week, and the lady gave me a sample of each of the three shades. Can you contact liz earle via website and ask for a sample? They seem to be very customer friendly!

Lilymaid · 17/04/2012 11:55

I also got samples at my local John Lewis.

I really want samples too!! I got matched in John Lewis and the sales assistant didn't have samples so she suggested I call customer service, so I called them and they said they will send me all 3 shades... if I buy the product. Hmm the thinking behind this is that you try the samples first then if you don't like/get on with it you send the unopened full sized product back, tbh it put me off a bit maybe I am too tightfisted

I like it but I am not a big make up wearer so don't have much to compare it to.

Quite shocked by your experience rococopops! LE send out so many catalogues, surely a few sachets of make up wouldn't hurt. It was the same with the perfume. I kept getting catalogues telling me how wonderful their new perfume was but all I wanted to know was what it smelt like. I think Liz Earle is a bit like a cult really; people seem to buy into it in a big way so I expect they are just relying on all their regular customers buying it. Considering there are only a couple of shops and John Lewis where you could go to try it on expecting you to buy the full size and send it back is a bit crap.

There's one in a magazine at the moment, think it is this month's Red. I really liked it and have since bought some :)

libbyssister · 17/04/2012 14:02

I was bought some Liz Earle moisturiser for Xmas and it came with the three samples. I used it for the first time last week and was very impressed. Really lovely texture and dewy not dry Smile

Pinkglow · 17/04/2012 15:45

I want to try this, I did see on their website that tey send out samples if you buy the full product but I'm up in Edinburgh next month so I'll pop into John Lewis then.

warmandwooly · 17/04/2012 20:12

I emailed customer service when it came out. Nothing. Not even an email saying sorry...

sobenobu · 17/04/2012 20:37

Got 3x3 lots of samples from different JL before I decide to buy itBlush. I do think it's great though and I passed the unused samples on to friends.

Will have a look at your thread, lktoday5. Found some samples in red magazine. Goes on nicely but odd smell?

I got some with Ocado order last week with a magazine, which shade do you want?

sobenobu · 18/04/2012 17:23

Someone compared the smell to old chip fat or something similar.
It does have a strange odour but it doesn't linger once you apply it.
