Hi there. New to S&B :)

I am planning on wearing this dress to a christening on Sunday, but the weather forecast is for cold cold cold.

What should I wear over it? This is why I never wear dresses - I never know what to put with them... clueless!

If it makes any difference, I have both nude (quite dark) shoes and navy shoes - both really high heeled and can wear either.

My budget is as near to zero as possible please :)

Freeze. It is too beautiful to cover.

What about just a pashmina in matching colour? you could always try asking friends or family if they have 1 you could borrow, or check out some charity shops as they always seem to have lots. you'll only be outdoors for a short amount of time anyway, so a large scarf/pashmina wrapped around your shoulders should work just fine.

I've got this dress. LOVE it. Worn it a few times and always get compliments.

I wear it with this from Warehouse.

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 16/04/2012 19:42

It is an incredibly flattering dress - I tried it on but needed a smaller size (and never got one, should have bloody bought the 10 whilst I had the chance).

I agree, just freeze. And nude shoes imo.

Just saw the bit about budget - I spotted a blazer very similar to the Warehouse one in New Look, plus they're bound to have a drape jacket in DP.

I have this from Asda it's 100% linen and looks nice Grin

cocolepew · 16/04/2012 19:45

I'm a liar it's linen mix. Still nice in RL though.

johnnycomelurky · 16/04/2012 20:18

New Look definitely do one like the Warehouse one, I think they have a shorter and longer version. I'm always too cold and can never "just freeze" because I'll actually go blue Blush

Oh, thanks. I actually have a pashmina and a blazery thing in the wardrobe. I just have a mental block about what actually goes. I'll try them both on.
I love the dress too. I am a 14/16. Bought the 14 and its lovely on. Hides all the lumps and skims the right places.
