Hi all,

Have recently purchased four fab dresses.... a bit of a shopping spree as I've been down in the dumps for the past year having 3 miscarriages... and trying to cheer myself up. Anyway, the first is a navy blue with white polka number (nine west) no pic sorry as was from tk maxx.

this demin polka one from DP
butterfly one from DP
stripey one from DP.

I absolutely love them all... they are all very flattering on my pear hips and I'm 5"9, 25 with blonde hair. Mainly just to wear out shopping or to the park with my DS...... I only have long cardigans as I thought they flattered my hips with skinny jeans but they absolutely don't work with dresses. Please, help me wear my new purchases!! I don't mind purchasing a few different things, and would love to know how to wear them a bit dressed up too. Thanks x

Orange or pink cardi? Ideally in a neat 50s style?

John Lewis have this in orange cashmere - it's slightly brighter in RL.

They also have a V-neck, cotton orange cardigan in their "Weekend" collection. Well, it's called something like "Weekend".

If you want to go wild, you could check out the cashmere cardis on the Brora website, too.

M and S is the home of the cardigan, though.

I really like the stripey dress. It looks like something Brigitte Bardot might have worn, with her hair in a pony tail.

(Hope they're still working and keeping you up-beat.)

Found the Weekend cardigan

Pink will probably go better with navy blue and blue generally, but I don't know that it's as "everywhere" as orange/melon/coral atm.

lolaann- here i am again Grin

Right, I agree a brightly coloured short cardy would work with all, I have bought some good cashmere ones from Benetton before, although don't know if they have them at the moment. I will also recommend the champagne or navy linen biker jacket from DP as a great summer cover up- sorry on phone so I can't link. It's fitted and not too long but not too cropped either and I think it would look fab with all yr dresses.
