Men's summer shoes - not between the toes flip flops

Dh refuses to wear flip flops (hurts his delicate toes) and insists on wearing some hideous sandals he bought a whole back. Can anyone recommend some stylish sandals I can make convince him to buy?

They are flip flops, but there is no toe post so shouldnt hurt?

Flip-flops are horrible. It's the ker-slap, ker-slap noise they make that I can't stand.

I have a pair of proper sandals with a back to them (a little old fashioned) and some espadrilles (a bit more trendy).

My DH also hates flip flops. He wears Mephisto sandals. They are pricey but very comfortable and durable. He has these which look great with shorts and with trousers.
