Since having my two DC's I seem to suffer from a red face extremely red nose and red cheeks some days it is worse then others also suffer from occasional spot outbreaks. I have always moistourised, cleansed and toned but always with the cheaper end of the market as never had problem skin before. Just wondering if anyone could recommend an anti redness product there seem to be loads on the market but all very expensive and don't want to spend all that money and find it doesnt work! All a bit new to this as I had perfect skin up until about 2 yrs ago. thanks x

I can't recommend a specific one although I'm sure someone will soon - but I know my Mum used a green-coloured foundation type cream and it worked very well to take the redness out of her face. She wasn't well off so it wouldn't have been an expensive one, but whatever it was it worked.

I think you should try to remove anything from your skin care routine that might irritate it now
Alcohol, lots of fragrance, often witch hazel, scrubs, bar soaps..that type of thing.
Try to use some very gentle products to see if that helps first

Do yout hink it could be roseacea? It sounds like it. Worth checking it out with your GP, as there are special medicated creams you can get to ease it.

Aha, good point, Magsaloof - my Mum had rosacea, that's why she had the green cream - I wonder if it was a medicated one?

What about this stuff? Great SPF and reading the reviews and ingredients it seems to be very gentle on the skin.

I've just converted to the Clinique anti redness make-up. I've always had red colouring and got sick of slapping foundation on like it was going out of fashion, just to hide the redness.

Was using lily Lolo and bm but found them not covering very well.

The Clinique foundation is FAB!! Hardly need any and it covers really well. I also have their anti redness powder - its yellow rather than green and works wonders.

I did get a little carried away and bought the anti redness cleanser, toner and moisturiser as well Blush I'm not totally convinced that they have been worth the money, but the makeup definitely is!!

The orange lady at the counter told me not to exfoliate as this inflames the redness. I'm ok with that in the summer but not sure whether a flaky face in Winter is something I want to put up with!!!
