Not exactly photoshoot. We are getting photos taken for company website. I would sooner go to the dentist as I hate having my photo taken and I hate clothes shopping.

I am hoping someone with style and taste will come to my aid. If I could afford a body double I would.

Here goes :5ft 3, mid 50s,size 12/14. Good legs (but they won't be in photo-not that sort of website) 32 FF (I know) and apple shaped. I think I am a winter colour.

My most recent "successful" purchase was a pencil skirt in a brocade type fabric from Jigsaw. I also like Phase 8 and Hobbs. Had thought of cardie and pencil skirt.

Budget is generous (just like my figure!)

Any ideas gratefully received.

Unless you work in a very casual environment I would go for a well fitting suit in a dark colour (grey/navy/black) with a fitted jacket that nips in your waist this effect with a white scoop neck top underneath (white is good for photos as it reflects light up to your face I think?) Wear simple jewellery and get your hair trimmed and professionally blow dried on the day.

thank you so much. I have avoided tailoring since the 1980s when I overdid the masculine look.
I also thought my height ( or lack of) would make me look like a school boy!
I will hot foot it down to Next today because I really like your suggestion
I have never owned a white scoop neck but you are so right.
Do you have a suggestion for a good one to get?
I only by clothes under duress so I have accumulated a healthy budget.
And thanks again. I have never posted in S and B before .

Good luck! Just choose a scoop neck that is snug fitting but not too tight and nice thick material (no bra showing!) I have been suit shopping today for an interview tomorrow and next had some lovely looking suits in.

Hobbs do great tailoring. The davina dress in lk Bennett could also be worth a look.

Use your phone to take photos of the options so you get an idea of how they work in a photo.
