I can't be the only one who is wonderful at standing still in heels but can't walk a step in them... BUT craves girly looking shoes and really needs a lift to make her stumpy legs look not quite so stumpy!
I give you THESE beauties!
www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-VERA-Pointed-Flatform-Shoes/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1909013&SearchQuery=vera&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Green

They arrived today, I was expecting them to be a bit clunky but they were the colour I needed and looked wearable.

I was so pleasantly surprised! This picture doesn't do them any justice, they give the look of a heel and they are big enough on the bottom to make it look like they are bigger heels. The pointy toes are very flattering.

I might have to get a pair! They are a nice alternative to ballet pumps with skinnies I reckon although not sure if they may be a bit clumpy for skinnies?

would def look nice with A line skirts and dresses. :)

diamondsonthesolesofhershoes · 13/04/2012 16:24

:o I'm so glad you've said that RhiRhi! Just bought them to go with an A-line dress for a wedding later this month.. great minds and all that Wink

I plan to wear them with skinnies, but then my legs aren't that skinny so it'll balance me out a bit!

I'm really interested to read that these will balance you out, I have always thought it was the difference in height between your heel and toe (the elevation) that helped define your legs, is it actually just extra height then?

CuppaTeaJanice · 13/04/2012 16:28

Some are ok but the animal print version with the crepe soles look a lot like brothel creepers....

diamondsonthesolesofhershoes · 13/04/2012 16:33

Well karbea I find that a heel just makes my legs look longer which balances me out because I've quite a long body with short legs.... I'm sure that all sounds really attractive.

Although the heel to toe elevation on these isn't massive, because there's the extra height from the platform I think it makes a difference. And because the sides on them are quite low, the elevation looks higher than it is too.

Genius really!

cuppa totally agree, I'll be sticking with the "vera" colour block ones. I rather like the mustard ones too.

I quite like the black patent ones too.

"Some are ok but the animal print version with the crepe soles look a lot like brothel creepers...."

That's actually a good thing for some people! That was the very reason I gave them a second look. Although the leopard print itself is actually a bit lame for the type of person (me) who would wear creepers, sadly.

OP, I have the same problem with heels and have just found my summer sandals for this year...

Same heel/sole ratio as the ones you've posted.

Tonksforthememories · 13/04/2012 18:21

I like [http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20348996 these]

Tonksforthememories · 13/04/2012 18:22

Damn, [http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20348996 these]

Third time's the charm! these!

I do not think you can beat Fly sandals and shoes for comfort and height.

diamondsonthesolesofhershoes · 13/04/2012 19:48

Both really nice :)
Clarks doesn't normally enter my head as somewhere for pretty girly shoes as they're quite expensive but those are lovely!

minipie · 13/04/2012 19:56

Hmmm, not sure about those shoes where the platform is about the same height all the way along. To me they look like something you'd wear to correct having one shorter leg than the other.

diamondsonthesolesofhershoes · 13/04/2012 20:09

:o minipie that's exactly what DP said when I showed him online, but they look a LOT better in the flesh!
