ok so I am 37 and my hair seems to be getting thinner and flatter Sad my skin looks pale and bags under my eyes are awful....never been a big makeup wearer but more so these days lol
I think that quite long hair can age women? but I havent got the balls to go short.........anyone else my kind of age finding it harder and harder to look good?? I am going to a highly recommended stylist and tempted to just tell him to do what he wants

hi lost, whats your hair like at the moment?

MerlinFromCamelot · 12/04/2012 16:04

Would suggest you discuss it with your stylist. If he is any good he should be able to tell you what suits and what doesn't. Layers are good to create volume.

Unless you are sure that it is what you want careful if you go short. It is better to loose some length now and perhaps go a bit shorter next time if that is what you want.... Once it is gone it is gone and takes a long time to grow back.

If you buy a dress and regret it afterwards you can leave it in the cupboard, it doesn't work like that with your head.

Enjoy your trip to the salon, let us know that you decide!

If you trust your stylist just give him free reign. I did that, took in some pictures of cuts I liked, cuts I didn't like and then asked him to make my hair look nice and he did. There was a couple of wee niggles, always is with a new style, but 2nd cut was perfect....

Mine is just below the shoulder and I'm older than you. I don't have layers because I got fine but loads of hair

I have it straight at the back and shaped around the face with a side frinch. Simple and easy to do myself. The more adventures you go the trickier it gets to do it yourself especially if like me you are always in a hurry in the mornings.

I would not go longer than what I currently have and I certainly don't want any drastic changes and get a shock each time I see my reflection. Easy to manage is the way to go or at least it works for me.
