Thanks to whoever recommended me underarm pads

I have been using them occasionally and just realized how useful they are when I went traveling recently. My shirt stayed dry and clean all day and that would never happened before. I could even wear it again next day. My natural, aluminium free deodorant usually only prevent bad odour and not sweating but combining it with underarm pads makes perfect sense. Really, really brilliant thing.

Tell me more, tell me more... what are they made of, where do you put them on...

One that I use ( Nonchalante underarm pads) is made of non woven fabric ( I know, never heard of it myself but reaserched it online and apparently everything is made of non woven, children nappies, sanitary pads etc). Just attach the sticky side to the inside of shirt and that's it. It prevents sweat from showing and getting into the clothes. Comfortable enough, very reliable. End of the day, chuck it away. Fantastic

I have the same problem. The fear of wet patches makes me self conscious about raising my arms, and holding them tight to my body makes me sweat even more. My crystal deodorant does not control sweating , just odor, and the pads seems to be logical solution. I wonder how I never heard of them before?

Neither did I till few months ago when somebody on Mumsnet recommended them to me. This site is brilliant.:)

You shouldn't, they are good. Although, friend of mine is not very keen on them but she really sweats a lot, and I mean a lot, so even when she is using them she has to change them more often so she has reach the point of considering botox.:(

Yoink. Definitely getting some. I'm about to start radiotherapy and I'm not allowed to use ANY deodorants or antiperspirants while I'm having it. I was dreading three weeks of smelly armpits and sweat stains. Well, at least now I can avoid the sweat stains...

Oooh, can I just ask (stupid question) - do you stick them directly to your armpit or to your clothes please?

Are they comfortable though? can you feel them or do they just feel like part of your clothes?

I use sweatex sweat pads. They stick to your top and then you throw them out. Brilliant.

Ah excellent, my skin is going to be sore so I'd much rather have ones that stick to my clothes rather than my armpit. Oooh, I'm quite excited now, I'd resigned myself to be a one-sided Sweaty Betty for three weeks and I have two parties and a wedding to go to in that timeframe too!

They go to your clothes, stick them to inside of your shirt and that is it. It takes some time to figure out where to put them, more right or left, up or down, but once when you figure it out it's ok. I found them comfortable enough. I use Nonchalante pads so can't say for other brands. It also depend on the material you wear. If it's cotton really good they feel natural, if it's very light you feel them in beginning but latter on you don't notice them. They don't stick on wool. The good things about them is that your clothes feel fresh after wearing it all day. I only sweat under my arms so now when I Throw away the pads after all day, that area is still fresh but before would be full of stain marks.

Did somebody mention botox. Just the idea of needle in my armpits makes my eyes water.
