Metallic ballet flats; where art thou?

Am desperate for some ballet flats in a grey metallic (silver or pewter kinda thing). I have a beloved pair of silver flats from Firetrap that are a great neutral and go with everything, but they're rather old and peeling and I should already have retired them really am going to have to retire them soon. Sad

I've tried the obvious places like department stores, Schuh and Office and 'specialist' ballet-flat places like French Sole, with no real luck. I'm happy with either classic round/square toes or pointier ones. I'd prefer quite plain ones as I'm not too keen on excessive embellishment like jewels/bows etc, but I've had so little luck so far that I'm keeping an open mind.

Any suggestions very gratefully received! TIA.

Thanks! Just had a look online. There's a glittery pair, which I'm not so keen on, but also a metallic snake print, which looks quite nice.

Gosh, they're hard to find aren't they? I feel your pump hunting pain!

These are nice

Massimo Dutti. Gorgeous and not too outrageously priced.

And can I add they are leather. L-e-a-t-h-e-r. My gripe with metallic ballet flats are that they are mostly synthetic. Can you tell I covert these shoes more than a little bit? Blush

the ones I saw in mango (in store) were leather, and leather inside too, my gripe also, really annoys me when I see ballerinas at £135 that are lined with material???????

MissFoodie, agree, that sort of cheapskating really takes the piss.

Quite like the two linked to but wonder if they're a bit TOO silver, IYSWIM ... My current ones are more of a distressed/old silver, which I think I like more than plain very shiny silver. But I might need to try some on to really make up my mind.

Depending on your foot size, I bought some from girls H&M (they go up to size 39) for £5.99 and they're great. I had some more expensive ones previously and they scuffed and wore quite quickly but these ones are almost disposable at that price. Not leather but at that price you wouldn't expect them to be!

Primark also has a selection of different colours and finishes.

Thank you! Sadly I'm five foot ten and have enormous flipperlike plates of meat slightly larger feet than a 39.

Nothing that grabbed me there at the moment, but thanks very much for the idea; will definitely keep an eye on it.

French Connection have silver ones with pewter toecap - v pretty, but possibly more glittery rather than metallic - can't link as on phone.( probably possible, but I'm just not technologically aware enough to do it!)

How about these for £27 a go? Leather upper and lining. www.shoetailor.com/shop/the-shoe-tailor-bow-shoes-e-fit/fe059/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=5346#colour:SILVER,size:

I know they're not a brand, but who cares?

How about these? I recently bought my first pair of this brand and they are the comfiest ballet pumps ever, even better than Bloch, which I love.

Sleepwhenidie - blue velvet shoes are lovely. I haven't heard of this site before.

They look like they are well made. How do the sizes run? similar to Bloch? I take a size UK 6.

Thanks

I think they are more true to size than Bloch which I find very slightly tight in my normal size-not so much I can't wear them but a half size up feels better, not an issue I usually have. The blue velvet 39, my usual size, is perfect for me though.
