i had false eyelashes put on for a night out at the weekend. By today, quite a few had dropped out and i was starting to look a little bald, so i have just done as the beauty therapist advised and tried to take the rest off with a creamy cleanser.
they wouldnt budge.
so i used a little warm oil. a few have fallen out. some havent.
but heres the thing....

where they have come out i seem to have no eyelashes of my own left....i look like i have just survived a nuclear winter.

so now i have a combination of ridiculously long lashes in clumps to contrast my apparently bald eyes where the oil/cleanser combo has managed to budge the glue - they should market this stuff as better than bostik....its not budging.

what the hell am i going to do for tomorrow? im at work. i look ridiculous.

im thinking leave oily cleanser on them overnight, then cut them if they havent fallen out.

but what about the bald patches?
i have never had baldy eyelids before....well not since i slipped with an eyelash curler but thats another story entirely....

i did not pick at them by the way.....ive just gently rubbed as per instructions....a blow torch and a chisel wouldnt move these bastards....

help me!!!

DD aged 21 had this vicar, they wrecked her lashes too and she was really self-conscious.

The good news is that she used a lash conditioner and they are now better than ever a few months later though

Add some false stick ons? Sounds horrid

ggirltwin2pinot · 10/04/2012 23:57

oh dear , don't think there's anything you can do to replace lashes other than false ones which you don't want
just ensure you have some nice natural brown eyeliner on and nobody will notice
or fess up as I usually do in these cases

sunglasses?

i havent any false stick on lashes to hand....oh god. i look so stupid. what the hell am i gonna do? i should have just left them to fall out....but even DD said i was going bald so i thought best just to remove them....ha bloody ha.

i had no idea this was going to happen.....they looked so good too. bugger.

Don't touch then anymore. You should never try to remove those lashes as you've found.

What you can do is brush them with a cleaned mascara wand and I found that a little bit of mascara just on the very ends of the natural lashes where there's a gap combined with the brushing helps.

I wouldn't get them done again. They were ok but nothing special and I've had repeated infections in my lashes when I had never had one since I was a child.

thing is i was told i could remove them with creamy cleanser - they were guaranteed for 1 night. just 1 night i was told. i thought it a bonus that they lasted a few days but then started to drop out....looked a bit daft so i thought time to remove them.

now i look more daft. oh my god i darent go to work tomorrow....i will look such a prick. i cant really afford to look like a prick. oh lord.

im going to cut the long ones right down and hope when i get a bit of mascara on them they dont look so stupid. i can feel i have lashes where the gaps are, but they are just not visible.....maybe it cos i have the stupid long ones making the rest look bald.... and

Oh yes do trim the fake ones but cut off much less than you think you'll need to. Do try the brushing first though. Don't mascara the fake ones or you'll look like you've mutated with a hairy spider.

If you try to take them off and they're glued on you may pull out your real lashes Sad

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/04/2012 10:49

ive phone the salon - they said they will take them off but seeing as i am virtually bald where they have come off im going to leave it until my days off when at least i can hide.

ive put mascara on my feeble stumps and trimmed the falsies. doesnt look too bad....im trying to convince myself i think.

at work this afternoon. sunglasses indoors isnt a good look is it?
