I pondered buying this for my DD when the catalogue came out, but hmmfed at the price and didn't. Today we took her to the park and it was blummin' freezing so when we got home I went to buy one, none left in little sizes...anyone seen anything similar? Would prefer not to pay more than about £20 but would like nice thick "teddy" type fleecy material rather than just sweatshirty stuff.

I don't really shop around for kid's clothes, it's Next, Gap and the supermarket so not really sure where to try.

TIA!

I have had something similar from Sainsbury's a few times.

I'll keep my eyes peeled, I was in there the other day but it was all very summery in ours, with the weather the last week or so they might get some warm stuff back in!

Agree about Sainsburys - I got DS a lovely fleece-lined zip-up jacket last Autumn and I was in there last week and they definitely had at least one style in (I was looking in the boys section though Wink)

I find Sainsbury's stuff good quality so will keep looking, the price will be right in there too :)
A boy's one would be great if it's nice and bright, I'm expecting a DS v soon so if it could be passed down to him all the better!

Oh yes, definitely good quality - DS2 is still wearing his one (as it is so blooming cold!) now and it looks as good as new.

The one I saw wasn't really bright - kind of a dusky blue colour with large zoo animals stitched onto it. Ds2's has digger's on it and he loves it Grin

This one is lovely

She loves diggers and zoo animals so I'm sure they'll have something she likes :) I prefer bright coats and jackets cos she's a bit of a runner and it makes her easier to chase in a park - she's very small and very fast, walks nicely on pavements etc on a backpack but a taste of freedom and she's off.

That Next one is really nice, I've just ordered it as it's in the sale for £7 - 4 week delivery in her size but sometimes stuff comes in a lot faster and I can check out Sainsbo's boy's dept in the meantime (she is also attracted to mud/puddles/wet dogs so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have two!)

btw if anyone has a bigger-sized child Little Trekkers website have got some great stuff in their sale, but all the fleeces were from age 3 upwards. They also have some good waterproofs and snow gear for babies and toddlers, there's a Columbia snowproof dungaree and coat set for £22 and if I knew what size new baby was likely to be in winter I would buy one!

Ah I didn't realize it was in the sale! Bargain! Just went to order it for my DD's, but everything from 2-3 + is sold out!

KateShmate · 09/04/2012 21:57

Why don't you get DD a fleece lined anorak? Again, Next do lovely ones! Will keep her warm and dry from puddle splashing and wet dogs!

AlanMoore · 09/04/2012 21:59

Mine's a titch so she'll get loads of wear out of 1.5-2 (she is still wearing her 9-12 coat from her first winter). I checked the boy's section to see if there were any in there but no, they have some lovely sweatshirt hoodies for little boys though. I had to restrain meself :)

Have a look on Little Trekkers, there's a nice teddy bear fleece from Regatta in the sale, starts at 3-4 and comes in pink blue and green iirc.

JL, Zara or Next all have great hoodies, but you may have to look in the boys' section - have seen lovely red one in Zara.

AlanMoore · 09/04/2012 22:14

No JL here and our Zara has a disappointingly small kids bit but will have a look online :)
