elizabeth arden 8 hour cream. what do i do with it?

i got some yesterday free (long story)

but no idea what i actually DO with it?

have heard it talked about on here and in beauty mags etc but not sure what to do with it

its not just a moisturiser is it?

I'm currently using it on the back of my hands which got badly sunburned on holiday. In the past I have also used it on patches of very dry skin and as an intensive night mask.
