Help
Cardi s or bolero s are a bit ... Dunno... 'Frumpy' and hide the detail of the dress (or maybe it s just the selectiOn in my wardrobe)
Plus I m cookig dinner and visiting friends Ian bit so it needs to keep me warmish
Blazer seems a bit structured (also the one I have doesnt match )
So I think I need a nice cardi type thing that will go over a few dresses or top
And skirt type combos ..... What does one wear or should I just put my jeans back on:-)

I live in Scotland, so I have to wear both (chilly).

How about a structured cardigan - ie a knitted jacket. I have a couple from Joules and they are lovely with a dress.

I often wear a very short and fitted denim jacket

Some dresses are okay with an extra layer underneath for warmth as an alternative, eg v thin thermal long sleeve t shirt in coordinating colour, obv depends on the type of dress though. M&s do good ones, they are called thermo tech or something I think.

Jersey blazers are what you need, as comfortable as a cardigan, but much smarter looking. Topshop have some, look for the Ponte blazer, I have 2 and they are great, also Zara have some lovely unstructured blazers in tweedy type fabrics.

Agree with MrsCB, neat fitting denim jacket is great too.

I will try to wrestle the dc off the computer and link later.

Short fitted denim jacket or short fitted leather biker jacket

If cardigan, make sure its short, fitted & v slim fit

Thanks - think I need to look through what I have and mayb try match up. I ve been looking at Zara jersey blazer - Got one in red but taking it back as not keen on colour - but might try the navy version. That might work I guess.
Where do you get your short slim cardis ? Al I can see when I go out to shops are chunky knitted or long boyfriend type ones.

I've got a couple of little short sleeved cotton cardigans from M&S that are nice for when the weather is a bit warmer. Or I agree re layering a long sleeved t-shirt under a dress. And yes to denim jackets or biker jackets - but I wouldn't keep either of those on indoors. A fairly fitted denim shirt worn open can work in a similar way to a denim jacket but not feel so 'outdoors wear.'
