OK, project stop-looking-mumsy-and-rubbish phase 3!
I now have a well-fitting pair of skinny jeans, and I think I look ok. But I'm having trouble with shoes.
I have some boots for winter.
I have some converse (dance) pumps.

But I'm after another type of shoe, I'm thinking a bit like a ballet shoe but not so insubstantial IYKWIM. Can I wear them with something like this? I find ballets to be too thin really (I live in the countryside and walk on rough ground!!) but those shoes (mine don't have the tassel) are mega comfy. Is there something like that that would do?

Thanks!

Or a mary jane a bit like this?

I don't have enormous feet - size 5. I'm 5'3 and have v. skinny legs. Smile

Not much time to look but came up with these www.next.co.uk/women/the-fit-shoe/4

Deffo no to the second two imho - the red ones are horrible and the black look like little girls' school shoes. The ones in your OP might work but personally I'd avoid black shoes with jeans. Tan or navy or even red would be better, I think.

To be honest, they are all a bit mumsy I'm afraid.

Have a look at this page from New Look, some more studier flats, but a little more fashionable etc.

To be honest, I find that summer shoes tend to get wrecked pretty easily, so I tend to be 2-3 cheap pairs each year.

The Next ones look lovely. Not Mumsy at all. Didn't like the others . I'm going to check out the Next ones.

OP - where are the well-fitting skinnies from please?

No no no to the red ones- the first are the nicest of the three! They do look sturdy though. The best and longest lasting shoes I've ever had are Sketchers, they did some lovely ones with owls on but sadly no longer do them. But Sketchers are so very ugly nowadays, sigh.
