Stupid garnier bb cream what was I thinking?

Feeling very unattractive this week due to stinking head cold.

At a particulary low ebb today I reach, as if in a dream, for the bb cream in asda in the hope it will make me look human for our weekend away.

What an idiot I don't look human, I look like an fucking oompaloompa! [bushock]

Is there anyway to rescue it? could I add talc?

I mix mine with a pale foundation - it is rather orange.
I definitely should have got the fair not medium!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 06/04/2012 16:44

It's shite.

It has a horribly waxy texture as well. I think it is embalming fluid.

A load of hype and the emperor's new clothes, the whole bb craze, imo.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 06/04/2012 16:45

lol at talc.

Yes, go on then. Let us know how that one pans out. Grin

chipmunksex · 06/04/2012 16:48

I got the light one; I am quite light skinned, but not completely alabaster.

ebay maybe my only option. [busad]

(I like these bunnies [bugrin])

That bloody cream that Boots sell called Napalm or whatever it is that promises '10 years younger in an instant' - what a fool I was and every time I go in there I want to stick a load of luminous Post Its on the boxes saying IT'S SHIT DON'T BOTHER

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 06/04/2012 16:50

BB cream is shit. I bought 2 different types......they are both crap[buhmm]

AgathaFusty · 06/04/2012 16:58

It is crap stuff. It's apparently full of silicone, so no wonder it makes skin look rubbish - might as well go the full hog and use car silicone on it.

chipmunksex · 06/04/2012 17:01

like on death becomes her when they use all that filler? nice [buhmm]

The garnier one is rubbish. if you want a good one go on ebay and check out ones from Korea, I think the seller is bella girl.

More yellow toned and gives an even coverage quickly. Am sure BB creams originated from Korea but I might be making that up in my head.

willybreeder · 06/04/2012 23:36

What! I really like it! I bought fair and enjoy the fact its better than a tinted moisturiser for coverage and gives a warm glowy finish.

MummyPocPoc · 06/04/2012 23:42

What is BB cream? I tried some on my hand in Boots the other day, just don't get it... What does BB stand for? Confused

lololizzy · 06/04/2012 23:42

sooooooooooo greasy and shiny. Had to use a ton of powder over it. Which defeats the object, really

MummyPocPoc · 07/04/2012 00:06

Just looked at BB Cream article on Daily Shite Mail, which has a photo of model looking exceptionally greasy and overloaded in gunk. Is that The Look We Ought to Aspire To? Hmm

lololizzy · 07/04/2012 00:07

orange slime, is what it is

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/04/2012 08:34

Mummy, I think it's blemish or beauty balm. One of the two.

NagooBunnytail · 07/04/2012 08:45

I too am an oompa loompa when I put that on [busad]

The others are no better then?

carrielou2007 · 07/04/2012 10:57

I bought it in fair and it looks great on me?? I don't like wearing foundation every day so on wear it when I am at work (part time now have the dc) and have the chanel and fake no 7 fake one now I'm on part timepay!) and I really like it. It really does what it says on the tin for me!!

Emo76 · 07/04/2012 13:57

I really like the garnier BB. Like a tinted moisturiser on me but better coverage and makes skin more luminous.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/04/2012 13:59

I actually quite liked the Garnier one, although not enough to buy it again. The fair was slightly too dark for me.

LookAtAllTheseFucksIGive · 07/04/2012 14:04

I have it and rarely use it. I hate how it feels when I rub it in. On the rare occasions I use it I apply a light moisturiser first now. use this and I love it

EnglishEponine · 07/04/2012 14:05

The garnier one seemed very greasy, but doesn't matter because it's WAY too orange for me to ever get away with wearing it. As are most BB creams, foundations, concealers etc. Boots 17 bb cream in the lightest shade seems to be a good shade though, rubbish coverage of course but at least I can wear it without looking like a halloween pumpkin...

Sorry for double post, technology hates me.

suburbandream · 07/04/2012 14:08

Haven't tried it but the name put me off - BB just made me think Big Brother!!
