superga? I've just switched to them form converse and impressed at how comfy they are!

mumatron · 05/04/2012 18:46

Vans?

fartmeistergeneral · 05/04/2012 18:57

oooh if they're good enough for Alexa, they're good enough for me! Nice!

The only Vans I know are those slip on things, which i'm not so keen on. Will see what else they have, thanks!

How about rocket dogs. I have a very comfy pair:)

defineme · 05/04/2012 19:05

p f flyers vulcanized
Got mine from Scuh and they have last 2 years of heavy wear so far

talkingnonsense · 05/04/2012 19:07

The fitflop converse things are super comfy.

AmberNectarine · 05/04/2012 19:30

Yep, second Supergas, have 5 pairs. Great colour choice and v comfy!

thomasbodley · 05/04/2012 20:28

Ash, although the wedge-heeled ones scream "fashion victim"

Onitsuka (?) Tigers. All the cool young things I know are wearing these.

New Balance are back, apparently. I had a pair of blue ones in the 1990s and if only I'd kept them I'd be the envy of the office right now.

Adidas Gazelles. Also back. They're "vintage" now. I wore them first time round in the 1970s when they were most definitely not the trainer of choice, and again in the early 90s, when Kate Moss wore them with a ballgown and instantly made them slick. I am SO old Blush

Keds are having what Grazia calls a "moment" in our office - apparently they make big feet look smaller because they don't have toecaps, but to my eye they look a bit girlie.

Hi-tops if you want to be really cool, but perhaps not to be attempted unless you are Miranda Kerr and/or have a 36" inside leg.

chickissimma · 07/04/2012 08:18

What do you wear superga with? I have the iris ones and always feel like an overgrown toddler in them if I wear jeans.

franke · 07/04/2012 08:24

How is the sizing on Superga? I'm 39 normally.

Gigondas · 07/04/2012 08:28

Another vote for fit flop converse ones

ChablisLover · 07/04/2012 09:20

Superga is pretty true to size.
I am a 6 and order the 39 and they are fine.

Different to converse I love them
(but still keep converse - cant shake the habit!Blush)

Also looking at the Pf flyers. For another change.

witheringcathy · 07/04/2012 09:27

I got a black pair of PF Flyers for £9 in TK Maxx, they are really comfy and look good with jeans. Make a nice change from Converse.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/04/2012 10:38

I really like the look of the Ash ones but they are far too expensive for me to ever buy. Watching this with interest as I don't like any of the ones shown so far. I've got a pewter leather pair of Converse-alikes from Clarks and they look lovely but are really uncomfortable to wear, surprisingly.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 07/04/2012 10:40

I like Superga. Wear them with chinos.

gypsyfloss · 07/04/2012 11:43

I've just ordered some shiny silver Superga after reading this thread. It's not that I am easily lead... you just happened to start talking about something I'd been thinking about buying anyway. And convinced me :)

HepHep · 07/04/2012 18:24

Some Vans and Rocket Dogs are nice. Rocket Dog Snippy is a good style that is like converse but not converse, check eBay.
