We are going to a Ladies Night in a few weeks time and I need a frock! wouldn't mind something I can wear afterwards so perhaps something that I can dress up for this function but dress down for holiday or summer outing etc.

I'm a size 8, about 5ft 2, 28E chest. That sounds massive I know but trust me, it''s not huge. My upper legs are my worst body part, they used to be very muscly and although not so solid now, they are still fairly large I think in proportion to everything else..

I don't want anything too revealing as one of our party is a bit of a letch (well, I think he is, others might disagree).

I don't like black. I love reds, blues, purple/mauve. I'm happy to spend up to £200 for the right dress but I'm not a clothes snob - if Tesco have something suitable thats decent enough quality..... bring it on!!

Anyone fancy finding me something?

TIA

how do you feel about maxi dresses?

mckenzie · 05/04/2012 22:26

sorry - I had to go out so didn't see your post until just now. I'm not adverse to them.

Have you had a look on The Outnet, or on Yoox.com? Both good for expensive frocks at not quite as expensive prices (mostly - I do tend to try and ignore the 'reduced from xx thousand'...options as those are rarely reduced enough Smile).

OracleOnACrossacle · 05/04/2012 22:44

OracleOnACrossacle · 05/04/2012 22:55

Oracle, i like the first Nordstrom one but I need to wear and bra and that might be tricky. I LOVE the Phase Eight one though and I'm going to order it. Thank you

sorry moonlight, I didn't spot your message. I've never heard of those websites but will give them a try now.

[busmile] The Outnet is essentially the sale site for Net-A-Porter and Yoox is an Italian discount one - both great for refunds/returns if something doesn't suit too.
