So, I've bought the dress, now what?

After much searching, I have found the dress for my wedding, strapless, midnight blue. But what do I wear with it? Wedding is mid March so will be chilly, have tried on lovely Monsoon shrug but looked weird, would a wrap or pashmina work or would it look like i'm wrapped in a blanket! If, ok, which colour. Shoes, omg, will need flatish ones, again, which colour HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

silver looks lovely with midnight blue. Wear silver shoes (plenty around at the moment). As for something to wear with the dress, can you not get a colour swatch, match the colour and buy some fabric so a dressmaker could make you a long wrap?
My sister is getting married in August and we're wearing midnight blue bridesmaid dresses.

Thanks Elf1981, had thought of silver myself. Not sure if there's enough time to get something made though. Will spend this week looking in town I think, just needed a bit more advice as I'm the worlds worst shopper!!

If you know anybody who is nifty with the sewing machine it wont take long to make a wrap. It's basically just fabric folded over and tidied up a bit! Plus you could use the extra fabric to make a little bag to keep your stuff in for after the wedding.
For my wedding, I brought my dress but had five bridesmaid dresses, bags and wraps made up by a dress maker. For each set it was £40 including the fabric and making of them. It also only took a few weeks to make everything, so one wrap wont take too long. Also, you could just use the wrap just draped over your arms (think the official name is a stole?)

Wow, will have to look into it, thanks.

Some lovely ones here especially 0205, the velvet satin one in the middle of the second row. Not cheap, though...
