It is this one Smile

I know it is expensive and I am not the kind of person that would ever normally spend that much money on a skirt (usually no more than £20) but I had a session with a personal shopper last week and she gave it to me to try on and it looked AMAZING.

I am 5ft 8 and it touches the floor (which is unheard of in maxi skirts) and a size 14-16. This skirt makes me look slim and my tummy disappear Shock

It is truly magical and makes me look much less frumpy than normal - I am totally in love with it! Grin

It sounds gross but I've been crying!!!

dexter73 · 02/04/2012 21:40

It is very nice. What top have you got to go with it?

HelenBaaBaaBlackSheep · 02/04/2012 21:41

Looks nice and I love the way long skirts feel when you walk - going to wander off and see if I can find a cheaper version :)

The personal shopper styled it with this to wear with it plus a denim jacket and some chunky beads - so I have bought the vest and I have a denim jacket anyway - it looks great Smile Am just missing the chunky beads now...

Don't tell DD1 one of her all time favourite outfits was a long sleeved top that colour and a very similar skirt. It's a lovely combination.

DinahMoHum · 03/04/2012 08:17

Lovely outfit.

I've been looking for a similar skirt but as am 5ft need it to be very slim fitting.

So if anyone sees one on their travels .. .

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/04/2012 10:25

I am quite drawn to this - have I gone mad.

But was thinking of with vest top and denim jacket - exactly like Ceebee.

where did you go to the personal shopper? It might just be what I need to overhaul my wardrobe .....

ContinentalKat · 03/04/2012 16:21

Yes, please tell us more about this personal shopper thing!

ceebeegeebies · 03/04/2012 21:07

MrsCampbell I do like that skirt aswell (maybe not quite as much as mine Wink)

As for the personal shopper, it was fantastic!! It was at Debenhams and was free (even better!). Went with 2 friends and we had 90 minutes with the shopper (technically it was the Express service - 30 minutes each where they will find you one item). I wanted a tunic/long top to wear with skinny jeans/leggings and I always struggle to get tops that are long enough - she found me the most comfortable pair of skinny jeans/jeggings (not sure what they actually are) and a lovely top from Wallis. Funnily enough, the top was actually a dress from the Petite range at Wallis so for someone under 5ft 4, it would be knee-length but for 5ft 8 me (with long legs) it falls mid-thigh which is perfect - now I would never think of even looking in any petite section so that is one tip that I now know!

I think the skirt was just an afterthought by the shopper but she did the whole Gok Wan thing with the styling the whole outfit and it did look amazing.

I would definitely recommend it if you need an outfit for a particular occasion or something that you want but struggle to buy.
