Is it possible to buy steady good looking shoes for a wedding?

I'm going to 2 weddings this year. In one of them I'll be a bridesmaid (back home they don't wear matching dresses) so I have to wear a long dress, super smart. I'll be 4 months pregnant and will probably have to carry 2yo DS part of the time, so I want shoes that are absolutely comfortable and steady.

I thought of something with chunky heels, not too low, but I don't want to look like I've put on a gorgeous dress with old lady "extra sensible" shoes. Most shoes I found look sad, matte, with no details or anything like that. I can't be the only woman who wants to look good AND feel comfortable, can I?

So far this is the only one I found that is kind of what I want, but I'd like a few more options before I buy one. www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_050010521460_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Women~Occasion+%26amp%3B+evening+wear

Thanks!

If you can work past the granny sandals, Clarks sometimes come up trumps with original, stylish and most importantly comfortable occasion shoes. I've got a pair of coral stack-heeled sandals I bought a couple of years ago that I live in for summer do's.

Thanks Mombojombo, I'll check their website! (and I have to admit I do like granny sandals, that's why I find it so difficult to find something a bit more glamorous... :) )

OP, i think the ones you have linked to are nice. not at all grannyish. would you go black or ivory?

Daisy, thanks, my two dresses are gold/black and blue, so I think black is the best option.
