What to wear with brogues?

I kind of fancy a pair of brogues, but I'm stumped as to what I'd wear them with and whether they are "my style"...I tend to wear skinny jeans a lot with boots or sandals/pumps in the summer, and dresses.

Wisdom, please?!

I love the black and white lace up ones but don't know if I would dare wear them!!

I love all the 50s and late 40s fashions so I don't know if they would go or if the shoes would just be really noticeable!
