Dry brushing!

iloveeverton · 28/03/2012 19:39

I second dry body brushing- in the morning before shower.

Also fake tan before you go will disguise many lumps and bumps.

OracleInaCoracle · 28/03/2012 19:56

Do you just use a bristle brush upwards?

As above and also I find the Nivea Anti-Cellulite Gel and 10 Day Serum work for me. Just as a temporary fix though, doesn't seem to be any long term affect.

sailorsgal · 28/03/2012 21:34

Do a juice diet for a few days, and yes dry brushing.

Esmereldada · 29/03/2012 07:02

Grrrrrrrr cellulite.

Agree with body brushing

Never found a cream that works, not really.

Legs always look miles better with a tan so thats my suggestion.

Plus fab, eye catching sandals and bright nail varnish draw the eye away ??

OracleInaCoracle · 29/03/2012 08:09

sailorsgal, no diets. I am anorexic so avoid diets, ditto exercising excessively. will try some of the lotions though, and get a spray tan and try body brushing.

Definitely brushing and lots of water

sailorsgal · 29/03/2012 17:23

Sorry, diet was the wrong word. More of a detox. Eat healthily and natural. No caffeine, sugar etc. Juices are fab and very healthy. My cellulite completely disappears.

Also drink plenty of pure, filtered water.

Am sure your cellulite is not as bad as you think. Smile

OracleInaCoracle · 29/03/2012 17:39

Thanks, I eat healthily anyway, but have to be v careful. I lose weight v quickly. I'm sure that's where the cellulite has come from, just an inability to process fat effectively. That and my mum suffers dreadfully from it. I've been looking at doing a coffee ground wrap. But its v messy.

Body brushing is the best way. Anti-cellulite creams are a waste of money, because any moisturiser will do, it's the massaging that does the job, not the cream.

kaumana · 29/03/2012 21:07

I agree with the above but would add blasting your skin with water as cold as you can stand it when finishing a shower . Has the additional benefit of waking you up as well!

kotuku · 29/03/2012 21:15

grapefruit & lemon essential oils (diluted in carrier oil) can also help on top of body brushing.

OracleInaCoracle · 02/04/2012 11:45

I have been body brushing twice a day and blasting my thighs with cold water, it really seems to be working!

Massage should be done firmly but not deeply, iyswim. The lymphatic system is relatively shallow beneath the skin surface so if you massage too deeply you aren't giving it the boost it needs - just massaging muscles :). The lymphatic system doesn't have it's own pump so keeping active is one of the best things you can do to improve the appearance of cellulite. If you have a relatively static desk job ensure you take regular breaks to walk around the office.
