Do I buy a bright pink bag or classic tan?

I am so not a pink girl but tempted to buy the bag I like in bright pink rather than the tan I would usually go for. But will I regret it? www.joules.com/en-GB/Womens-Bag/Pink/M_LEYCETT/ProductDetail.raction

What do you think?

That is absolutely gorgeous! I think the pink is much nicer than the tan.

BettyBathroom · 27/03/2012 21:32

Prefer the tan but I really don't like the buckles being a different colour to the bag.

warmandwooly · 27/03/2012 21:33

I like it.
For me a bright bag means that it can jazz up an outfit. I would say that it would be something to take out and put at the back of your wardrobe as and when.

dearprudence · 27/03/2012 21:33

Like both of them, sorry.

RunningLatte · 27/03/2012 21:37

I looked,certain I would like the pink,as I like 'statement' bags.
But tbh I (only slightly, mind) prefer the tan. But its a hard call as I also like the pink, and the blue option.

Thanks, I know what you mean about the buckles but i was thinking that the different colour buckles on the pink are less obvious. The pink has arrived today and the leather is gorgeous. It is the perfect bag, comfy with across the body strap. I wanted to use it everyday in the summer so am worried the pink is a bit too much for everyday. I am a classic dresser and would normally go or red. My dd(4) loves the pink!!!!

I like it (and I don't even like pink if that makes sense).

This one in pink or snakeskin I need tan though as have bought a red leather jacket.

shopalot · 27/03/2012 21:48

Betty, I ordered the peony and moore lucia and sent it back as I didn't think much of the leather. This one is far better quality. But I know lots of people rate peony and Moore on here.

I think if you love it then it's settled you should buy it, you'll always use something you fall in love with - quite envious because I want a new bag but I haven't fallen in love with any so far! Things can look very different online to real life - depressing news about the quality of leather in the Peony & Moore.

animula · 27/03/2012 22:02

Love that bag. All three are lovely - and pink and tan in a dead tie for pole position.

I think you'll love the pink for longer. Tan bags are many but a gorgeous pink bag is slightly more of a rarity.

I've been lusting after it myself but am trying desperately to pull back on spending at the moment so we can save up to get the house re-wired. I;ll vicariously enjoy you enjoying it instead!

bunionscomingsoon · 27/03/2012 22:23

Strange - I love the soft leather of my P & M Bag but mine was in cream nubuck - - the shiny pink is different and maybe more hardwearing?

shopalot · 28/03/2012 15:46

Animula - had the house rewired last year and now it is finally time to spend on me!!!!!!!! I took the pink one back today as it was just a bit too bright for me. Have ordered the tan which they are sending to a store for me to pick up on Monday. Brilliant customer service in the store, so friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the tan -thank you everyone for your help. It was a tough decision. I will let you k ow if it is as lovely as the pink in real life.....

I say go with the pink. There is something cheery about it. I had a lovely pink bag which eventually fell apart but u lost count of the times people commented on how nice it was. Much more related to the colour than style i think as the style was very plain. If you think it will make you smile then go pink!!!!!!
