Where are all the nice green dresses?

Green ? dark or forest green, or darker shades of emerald IYSWIM ? suits me and I've been looking for day dresses for work in these colours. I've spent pigging HOURS trying on/searching websites for/ordering/sending back 'green' dresses that turn out to be blue or aquamarine and, in more desperate moments, ones in apple/pea/snot green in the deranged hope that they'll suit me.

Is it that hard? Has anyone got a nice, dark green dress? Has anyone SEEN one in the shops? Help!

And TIA Smile

What about this Mary Portas emerald dress? I love it, and am thinking of it myself. But it's expensive...

Oasis have this one but only have it left in larger sizes.

And also this one but that might be too green for you.

I have a fondness for the same colour but am banned from buying more green dresses as I have 5 already. Good luck!

Just thought of another one (which I also like, damn!) from Toast

Thank you, ever reliable lovely MNetters! I like the Mary P one but it's a bit long; I tend to wear either longer or shorter than knee-length as I have ugly knobbly knees. I also suspect it of being made of polyester or similar but it doesn't say.

The Oasis 'Pippa' one is VERY green but I might try it.

The Toast one is lovely although I wonder if it'd just look sacklike on? It's quite a loose-looking cut.

I love the Ted Baker one, but it brings up another question: is sleeveless OK for work? My office is very informal but I'm never quite sure.

Anyway, thank you all again. Smile
