Nail varnish makes my nails flake and break

Every time I wear nail varnish, when I remove it my nails are in a terrible condition, all flaking in layers, soft and bits breaking off. I have tried all types of formaldehyde free, acetone free nail varnish removers but I don't think it is due to the nail varnish remover as I can see the nail already beginning to flake under the nail varnish. I have tried some formaldehyde free nail varnishes and base coats but they make very little difference.

Can anyone recommend a good nail varnish to me so that I don't have to have stubby chipped nails any more?

Nail envy might work. There's an OPI programme on QVC at 10 tonight that will probably have it on that way you could try it for 30 days and send it back if you don't find it helps.

I have this problem too.
I tried the nails inc stuff, but it seemed to make it worse.

Mine are best when left unpainted, or removing the varnish asap.

You need a good base coat - Nailtiques is excellent. Repaired my nails after acrylics.

Also, their oil therapy is great.

Thanks. Where can I buy nailtiques?

Try and get hold of nail magic it's amazing!

You could try gel polish - keep it on for a couple of weeks and your nails should grow underneath

You can get it online frankie - it's expensive but it really does help.

Bought some nailtiques protein treatment today, found it in my local chemist! But they did not have the nail varnishes. I will try it for a couple of weeks and report back.
