Ok, I usually live in jeans and Converse but I've been trying to be just a shade more daring (ha!) and start wearing leggings and tunics or dresses and tights but then I had to stop wearing the Converse with them (looked all wrong because of my elephantine feet and thick calves). Was wearing some nice slouch ankle boots but they had quite thin soles and wore through within a couple of weeks Sad. Now I need to urgently get some more but can't for the life of me figure out what shoes to get that;

  1. Are £30-40 or less
  2. Won't fall to bits quickly, considering I walk at least three miles a day on a school day
  3. Will fit big wide size 7's
  4. Don't have any or much heel (I'd break my neck)
  5. Will suit wearing with leggings and/or dresses
  6. Aren't granny shoes, I'm only 27!

TIA!

hi mickey

what about these?

Classic, safe-choice ballerinas but more robust because of clarks sole. Don't know about width but should be fine.

I have similar and wear them with leggings/cropped jeans/casual dresses all the time without tights or socks.

For the winter, I personally prefer chelsea boots.
I'd wear the above in black with black tights/socks though.

I'm in the same position, trying to find wearable lasting shoes for long school runs.... but I can't wear ballet shoes, I can't keep them on! I'll wait eagerly for good advice.....
