Want to look fashionable not mumsy! Main focus: new jeans.

I'm having a minor wardrobe crisis - also with a clearout.
So, I'm 36 and have an ok figure, size 10 (but short!), dead skinny legs, bum is ok (I don't look that much really), tum is wobbly and flabby.

I want to look a bit more trendy, not all mumsy. DS1 will be 4 in June, DS 2 is 8mo. But basically a lot of the clothes I have date from pre-Ds1, and are basically a bit dated although some are surely salvagable.

I have some lovely tunic tops etc, but I think I need to wear them with jeans. I like the jeans&dress combo but I reckon my bootcuts aren't the best option. Also, given that I have good legs, I should surely be able to wear skinnies? I have one pair but I'm not sure about them - they're just not easy to wear IYKWIM. (Basically they're too tight! On the crotch, squeezy on my mummy tummy, and I can't chase a toddler in them.) Plus, I don't know what to put on my feet.

Is there something skinny but not skintight in jeans these days?? Where can I get them? And what shoes?

I have these jeans. They are skinny enough to wear with boots but won't cut your circulation off. Or maybe try some jeggings as they are elasticated at the waist.

Try straight legs - anything that doesn't make your legs look like an hourglass! You should be able to buy straight legs anywhere now. Try Gap for good quality reasonably priced jeans.

Princess, I can't go skinniest either but got a pair of slim fit jeans from Next and they do the job nicely.

Best straight legs are topshop marthas - I wear mine long and also turned up in the summer with wedges or flip flops.

I had a feeling it was straight legs I was after - I worry about being too lumpy on top for skinnies, esp as I have v. skinny legs! Plus, it's the bother of wearing them!! Smile

Thanks!

Ooh - what shoes?

Try the Oasis Cherry jeans - they're the best ones I've tried
