Will a 7/7 permanent hair colour be okay over a 6/7?

I recently had my bleached highlights covered with a 6/7 permanent colour at the hairdressers. They put an orange pigment in first and I was happy with the colour. Unfortunately with no make up it's just a tad too dark. I have re-applied the same colour myself at home once as the highlights started showing and again think it's just a little bit too dark for me. I have now bought the same hair colour but in a shade lighter, a 7/7. I'm using this with a 20% peroxide. Will it be okay?? I dont' want it to go too orangey but need to keep a certain amount of warmth to keep the greenish tinge from the highlights at bay. Any experienced people out there???

Yes it will be fine. have you thought about mixing them half and half if its only a tad too dark? They all fade, as you have found out, especially on bleached hair. Or you could use 10 vol (which is 3%, I think you mean you are using 20 vol, which is 6%) and it may not fade as quick, and it will be less harsh on your hair if you are reapplying quite often.
