Has anyone bought an Apricot dress? Would you recommend? I've fallen in love with a couple on their website but am dubious, they're so cheap! Are they shit quality??

They are what they are. They will last the season but not years.

To be honest I love them. Like you say they are so cheap. I dont expect them to last years.

DeeDee1977 · 22/03/2012 20:39

Thanks for that. I might just go for it then!

Oooh i had never heard of them but just googled the website and I love the blue ruffle front dress. For £17 I reckon i'm going to give it a go!

DeeDee1977 · 22/03/2012 21:00

Haha Too living up to your name there! I can't believe they're so cheap, seems too good to be true.

I've been to the Apricot shop at Westfield and tried on some dresses that looked great but they were made of material that clung to you and I didn't like them very much. I did buy one of their jumpers though, which I have been wearing quite a lot. Just note the material if you are buying them!

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/03/2012 21:05

Jumper is polyester. Smile But nice, it goes without saying.

Sockspence · 22/03/2012 21:06

narsty fabrics.

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/03/2012 21:08

It's so unlike me to post on a style and beauty thread, having neither, that I can't quite get over it. Shock

DeeDee1977 · 22/03/2012 21:10

UpTo ooh is that Westfield at Shepherds Bush?? I might pop over there! I didn't know they had a shop there.

Socks ahhh see that's what I'm worried about.

I went to the Westfield in Shepherd's Bush. There is a shop there. Not sure about the Stratford one.

EllenParsons · 22/03/2012 23:13

DeeDee I really like that navy one you linked! Will have to have more of a browse of that site tomorrow, had never heard of it...

MickyDodger · 22/03/2012 23:15

They sell them in New Look. Well here they do anyway.

DeeDee1977 · 23/03/2012 06:10

Ellen thank you! People normally slate the things I like! :) What shoes to go with it though?!? Nude?

Dorothy Perkins also sell some Aprico stuff. Some fabrics are a bit icky. I would recommend buying them in shops rather than online or at least look at them in shops then order online so you know what fabric your item is made out of.

Other similar makes you may like too are Pussycat, Uttam and Rage. Alos available in larger Newlooks and Dotty Ps. Some are also available in some Debenhams.

DeeDee1977 · 30/03/2012 14:53

An update. I went to Westfield and tried the dress, and a couple of others, on. I was immediately disappointed, the fabrics really are horrible, and very thin and see through. And horribly static enducing, my hair was in peaks after trying on 3 dresses! Bad fit too. Very glad I didn't order it online!
