Eyes - serum or cream or BOTH?

Need some new eye cream and partly inspired by the How to be Groomed thread am contemplating Decleor or Elemis. However just browsing through the sets I am unsure if you needs serum and cream or just serum?

Any guidance would be appreciated as would any reccommendations!

You can buy both in a set from Liz Earle. The cream is for day i think and serum for night.

depends on what the serum is like - I use a serum first then cream, ie both, day and night

the serum I use is water based, then the cream is oil based but not greasy iyswim

it also depends what you're hoping to "improve", eg bags, cirles, lines, etc

ok, well, I have tried loads, but then I write about them so don't [always] pay for them -
at the moment, my favourites are Aesop Eye Serum/eye cream and Dr Alkaitis Eye cream, but they are £££
why dont you try the liz earle serum + her superskin cream?
the best thing for bags is Oskia, but it's a serum, so doesn't do much for lines, is also about £60 I think.....
I would otherwise try Antipodes eye cream, which is not too pricey, they also do a water based serum you could apply beforehand, dont put their other serums near the eyes as they are oil based

I have a day cream (Origins 'Perfect World White Tea') which is a nice, light serum-ish lotion which is easily absorbed and helps with puffiness, and then a heavy duty cream (Roc Retonix) which is really effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines when you wake up in the morning.

I have tried all sorts of more expensive brands, but these are my firm favourites.
