Clarins face oil - what do I do with it?

I've been given this by a friend, but what do I actually do with it? I presume I use a couple of drops at night, but every night or once a week? I did look on the Clarins site, and I'm none the wiser. Please, someone, tell me that it's a miracle product that will take years off me. Wink

Every night, 3 drops massaged into clean face - put night cream on top.

I really like it.

Thanks so much.

Update on what you think, please.

I'm hoping to get some, when my beauty points from debenhams come on for April, which one did you get?

coffeeinbed · 20/03/2012 21:10

best when skin is still slightly damp from cleansing.
which one did you get?

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/03/2012 21:12

I got santal for dry skin and love it. Was contemplating the by terry rose oil but was twice the price.

AgentProvocateur · 20/03/2012 21:24

It's the Lotus one.

I love the Lotus oil, it smells gorgeous. I use it on clean skin in the evening a few times a week. I think it's rich enough on its own for my skin, so don't use any other moisturiser with it.

I was told that with any scented oil you should warm it between your hands, hold hands in front of face and inhale the vapours before pressing it gently onto the skin (as opposed to rubbing on)

Not an expert though

I got a little sample of Decleor oil and did what was suggested- three drops, rub fingers together, rub lightly on your face. I just placed my fingers on my face and the oil was gone! I did it again then again- just couldn't rub it in, as there wasn't enough on my fingers. Am I doing it wrong?

Face should be damp with a little water. A few drops massaged in.

coffeeinbed · 21/03/2012 19:31

Scarf, don't think you're doing anything wrong.
The oil will go on much further on damp skin, and then you sort of press/work it in.
You should not be left with oily skin.

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 21/03/2012 19:38

Thanks for the replies, I'll try tonight on damp skin. I did it on dry, just didn't work! Hope this works as I've ordered a Decleor set from another thread which has more oil in!
