apart from a wrap style! Got a wedding in a few months time and have 32JJ breasts :( and would love a dress that is funky and stylish without making me look too mumsy. Any recommendations as to where is good to buy? Thanks all x

Pepperberry (the bravissimo clothing line). Depends on the rest of your body too, but as a general rule I run away from shift dresses and go for uhm WRAP dresses, V necks and drape/cowl necks with a bias cut

I am ff and boat neck style suits me

didldidi · 20/03/2012 17:07

Nothing with a high neck and I second wrap dresses.

didldidi · 20/03/2012 17:08

sorry! and make sure you have a really well fitting bra.

ggirl · 20/03/2012 17:09

what size are you and how long do you want it

v-neck doesn't have to be frumpy

Primrose123 · 20/03/2012 17:10

Can't help sorry, but interested in any suggestions. I too have a wedding to go to soon, and haven't worn a dress in years. I am a similar size to you, and have a tummy too (hangs head in shame) so a dress with a proper waist is out for me. Can I wear trousers to a wedding?

ooer · 20/03/2012 19:51

V-neck but I don't wear wrap dresses. I second Pepperberry and it's definitely worth trying them on if you can get to a store - things that look like nothing on the hanger can make you look "wow" (although occasionally vice versa, so mind out!)!

This made me look fabulous!

The other thing I can't recommend too highly is understanding which colours suit you.

Also recommend Phase Eight v-necks. There's a lot in their sale.

Mind you, not sure I could advise you about the "funky" bit! [gimmer] Good luck and let us know how you get on.

How about going a bit retro with some 1950's glamour?

PuffPants · 20/03/2012 21:11

That Pepperberry dress is really lovely.

Agree with 1950's stle suggestions, and also look into tea dresses, you have to be careful with the buttons on some but I find them to be very flattering and I am a busty size 14. Well fitted is also the key i think. I had a stunning 50's halterneck dress last year for a wedding, somethink i would never have gone for but because it was so well fitted i didnt need a bra and I couldnt have looked less mumsy!

Or how about something like this www.johnlewis.com/316385/Product.aspx

steben · 21/03/2012 09:55

Or something like this but obviously not this colour for a wedding!

Thanks ladies! i'll check out some of the links. Should've probably said i'm pretty 'slim' every where else, so a tad out of proportion up top!!! Thanks so much again! x

don't get a wrap dress, not flattering on large breasts in my opinion.

i got this dress for work hobbs stella and i think it is really flattering, gives a good shape.not necessarily the right dress for a wedding, but a good guide to a flattering shape. if you are slim elsewhere, i think you need to draw attention to it. so something structured which nips in at the waist.
