yes was just thinking the same! She looks fantastic... ( and those madelines looked scrummy!)

What lipstick do you reckon was she wearing? . I liked the colour.

teejwood · 19/03/2012 21:08

not sure about the red - perhaps one of the matt chanels?

i do know i mentally put on half a stone looking at those madeleines though!! Shock

She did.
Ruby woo?

Kellamity · 19/03/2012 21:09

I loved it! Lovely food and I like her and her red lipstick Smile

teejwood · 19/03/2012 21:24

ruby woo is a bit more glossy than that, though, is it not? that said, she seems like the kind of gal who has a mini wardrobe of daytime to nighttime reds.
that sali hughes vid on red lippies on the Guardian website is temptation central...

oh.
I have about a dozen different reds and here I am lusting after another one.
Ashamed of self.

theseventhdwarf · 20/03/2012 19:52

I never wear reds - am
Thinning of trying one out. They scared a little, but seeing as I ve managed to do a smokey eye once or twice now I think I might be ready for it!

MooMinCow · 20/03/2012 20:14

Her lippy was fab. Don't think it was Ruby Woo as hers looked more pinky red to me, and RW is v matte on lips. Spent the whole program wondering a) what lippy it was, and b) what her ethnic background is! Am thinking mixed race Asian/oriental? Whatever, she is stunning (DH unusually quiet while programme was on Hmm)

Havingkittens · 20/03/2012 20:22

Her dad's Chinese/Malaysian and her mum's Austrian. She is from the rather exotic land of Croydon.

seventhdwarf watch the sali hughes video here - she gives a lovely round up of the different tones, textures etc and how to apply with confidence and recommends starting with a sheer-ish tint to break you in gently!

If you look at the comments below the video, people are giving each other tips about colours and brands, too - it's quite a good read and should give you the confidence to get you started!

Was that a Mumsnet scarf she was wearing? Wink

Havingkittens · 20/03/2012 21:28

All of Illamasqua's reds are very matte so maybe it was one of them. There's one called Drench which is a Pink Berry Red or Salacious which is a Raspberry Red.
