Shall watch with interest. Also have blue/green eyes and really looking for something to make them look greener if poss.

I really like the body shop eye pencils, have them in brown and taupe, and find them very soft.

Have tried purples, plums, navy etc but none seem to bring out my eyes, so I end up sticking to boring brown.

Am thinking of getting a green liner next.

I have blue/green eyes and use black, for dramatic stuff, or shades of grey. there's one called "phone number" from Mac which is a very dark grey with some shiny bits which is fab, or else I have a lightish grey with a greeny tinge to it that I got from Molton and Brown yonks ago which also looks good. Also, an olivey-and goldy pencil which I got from body shop.

Otherwise, depending on how you do it, copper and gold tones can bring out the colour, in a contrasty way (Cameron Diaz wears a lot of copper eye shadow, and it does make her eyes pop) here

Codandchips · 19/03/2012 13:09

i lie the arden one in graphite a LOT

Codandchips · 19/03/2012 13:09

or lauder
shit they both seem the same to me.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 19/03/2012 15:33

our eyes sound a similar colour. deffo try greeny/blue (sort of teal) liner. I would never have worn it before but changed my make-up after having my colours done, i stopped wearing black mascara and liner which looked much better/cleaner but I was missing a bit of oomph.

I'm about to upload a pic of me wearing said teal so you can try before you buy - kind of.

i'm a MN regular and have just name-changed to this new name so I can post shit like this freely in s&b so i'm rather excited to test it out Grin

PeskyRat · 19/03/2012 16:47

You are v pretty Season, your eyes look almost grey in the pic and very sparkly.

QuinnFabray · 19/03/2012 17:19

I use a kind of khaki greeny one with gold flecks in, by Stila. It's called a smudge stick, I think, and the colour is "Moray". I prefer the way it makes my eyes look to any of the browns I've tried.

Maiakins · 19/03/2012 17:42

Lovely photo Season ... the teal really suits you. What make is it?

anniewoo · 19/03/2012 17:45

Thank you for suggestions. I am uselss at technology Sad how or where do i go see the picture?
What copper pencil do you recommemd? I have been using teal/ acqua - bourjois kohl pencil bleu originale for ages. I find black too harsh and hard looking. Greys/ purples accentuate the dark circles under my eyes

I use a burgundy felt tip liner from ilamasqua. Sounds minging but it's amazing.

PerryCombover · 19/03/2012 18:02

I wear a base over my lid and !horrors! black liquid with loads of black masc

I also wear a brown grey smudge thingy when feeling less edgy

I've just bought a Sapphire colour pencil from Sheer at Superdrug and I'm loving it.

Wearing it with black mascara and I think it works - but I do wear glasses so do tend to need to use stronger colours IYSWIM.

Pencil is also lovely and soft (but not squishy) and blends really well.

lisaro · 19/03/2012 18:20

This is my eye colour. Most days I use no. 7 grey or even the silver, it's not too metallic. A deep blue can work and as said before - teal. I never wear black mascara as it's too dark for me, only brown.

teejwood · 19/03/2012 18:22

season might i ask, what blush and lippie are you wearing? they look really flattering. also - what "season" did you come out as?

OT, my eyes are more green/grey/hazel and the colour really comes out with a soft green eyeliner. I bought one from Lavera that seems tricky to get hold of now but I'm sure there are others around Hmm

also, when i had my colours "done", the analyst recommended an eyeshadow palette that she thought would work for most people and funnily enough suggested the burgundy as the liner. will find linky...

lisaro · 19/03/2012 18:22

Oh forgot - khaki is also very nice, brings out the green but doesn't swamp it.

wonkylegs · 19/03/2012 18:26

I have blue eyes and blonde hair and use a green one from George (Asda) and it's fab
Otherwise I tend to go for bobbi-brown brown ones

teejwood · 19/03/2012 18:35

this is it but might be a little dark if your eyes are v pale?

PastGrace · 19/03/2012 18:43

I have this in "forever green". I used to use the twist up antiquity but they discontinued it and lied about it being limited edition for 6 months only even though I'd been buying it for two years.

taffila · 19/03/2012 19:04

Also maybe think about dark blue mascara - Max Factor do a nice one. When I got my colours done they recommended it (blonde, blue eyes) and it definitely brightens my eyes and doesn't look weird!

maristella · 19/03/2012 19:19

I have dark hair, lashes and brows so black eyeliner works for me. I'd like to find a barely there eye liner for under my eyes, something subtley sparkly.

I wear copper eye shadow which really enhances my eye colour a lot more than darker eyeshadows do

DonaAna · 19/03/2012 20:05

Steel blue-gray/green eyes, pale, mousy blonde Summer.
Fave eye pencils are silver, graphite gray and platinum taupe and grayish khaki. All by Chanel. Love them and use them every day.
Black is usually too harsh, brown makes my eyes look tired.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 19/03/2012 20:17

thank you pesky and Maiakins! it's just a pic i just took myself at arms length so is a bit more of a close-up than i'd normally enjoy at this age Grin i think the lighting has made my eyes greyer than they actually are but they do change quite a bit anyway.

i think it was just a cheapo boots one. natural collection maybe. will try to check later. i grabbed all sorts of random things after having my colours done.

teej the lippy is no 17 hot stuff, it's in a silver case (used as blusher too as i haven't found a blusher i like yet)

i'm a paintbox (aka bright) spring. what are you an autumn?

are you saying you haven't posted about and/or i haven't replied re your seasonal woes previously?! i'm usually the mn bore on this stuff as i found it SO amazing. what troubles are you having with it?

SeasonOfTheWitch · 19/03/2012 20:19

teej sorry to waffle on but just to say i think that's the thing about when you crack this colour shit, everything suddenly looks really balanced and flattering because it's colours that are naturally in you, iykwim?

teejwood · 19/03/2012 21:16

season no, no! i haven't dumped my colour woes on mn yet, just conscious of looking at your picture and then asking about your makeup preferences and "colours" - might come across as a bit stalkery!!

i had always assumed i was autumn, funnily enough. came out as light summer. hence still slightly struggling to get my head around not picking the usual tones etc
